Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy massage treatment involves the use of the natural extracts from plants, flowers and fruits to treat various ailments such as muscle soreness and tension, fatigue, skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne and dermatitis and psychological conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress and sleeping problems.
During an aromatherapy treatment, your therapist will use an essential oil, or a blend of essential oils containing therapeutic properties to combat the symptoms of your particular ailment. These oils can be inhaled during your treatment and / or topically applied to the body. You will be involved in the selection of these oils. They will then be combined with a suitable base oil to compliment the blend. Base oils are used depending on their appropriateness for skin type.
Essential oils can also be used in a burner, added to a hot bath or on a compress.
